The X part is them claiming they serve the videos in a higher bitrate than regular HD videos from iTunes, Amazon, etc. SD purchase option is still available (different prices), but yeah, it's a bit confusing on what you get with regards to UHD vs. Understanding the difference between HD and SD streaming is pretty simple. 4K UHD (or Ultra High Definition) refers to a higher quality of video than HD. SD streaming just looks bad overall.
